RE: [RC] [RC] Water tanks and safety - Roy

This is why my rig is set up to load with water from any source. I do not
carry more water on board then is needed for travel on that day. Ie a
couple of buckets worth. I can fill the truck tank from a hose, a creek or
brook or stream or tank etc.

I can fill the trailers 35 gal tank from the truck anytime. I never haul
weight I don't need to haul. In imperial, a gal is 10 lbs. my 100 gal tank
(IMP) is 1000 lbs of weight. It does make a difference to the handling and
stopping power of my truck. I am a vol fire fighter, and I routinely drive
trucks up to 1500 gal Imperial (in emergencies, at high speed). I will add
that a full tank is usually better that a half full tank, and baffles make a
    big difference.

It would be the same or worse if they were in the
    horse compartment.
