[RC] Half-leasing and endurance - Tamara Taylor

I have a 13 year old sweetheart of a horse that has done everything. He's been
through all the levels of Pony Club, 4-H, dressage, jumping, you name it. I am
hoping to do our first 25 miler next year.

Currently I am boarding at a 'recreational' barn where lessons aren't allowed
and most people ride only once a week. I am finding it a real stumbling block
in progressing with my riding (I love dressage too) and would like to get
lessons. Then a few days ago a young girl's mother contacted me wondering if I
would be willing to move my horse to a big, competition stable so they could
1/2 lease him. I'm a university student so the prospect of someone else paying
1/2 my expenses so I can move to a better barn is attractive.

Has anyone done this before? Is it possible to still condition and compete with
someone else using my horse 3 days per week? The girl is about 11 or 12 years
old and is in Pony Club. My horse has done it all before so that end of things
    wouldn't be a concern.

    Thanks,

    Tamara
