[RC] Question for all you girls... - Tamara Alice Taylor

    Hi there,

I had surgery a year ago in October and I am still really tired. I was anxious to get back in the saddle and the Doctor gave me a time frame (I think it was maybe a month or two after the stitches were removed, but I can't quite remember). Surprisingly I found that even the Doc's time frame was a little too optimistic and I was just not feeling up to riding even by then. Not only that but I think if I had continued to push myself I would have actually taken a step back instead of moving forward. Right now the biggest limitations are just the fatigue and loss of condition but physically I am recovered from surgery.

I'm back in the saddle now, but its going slowly. I ride for the pleasure and the love of it, and I've been enjoying myself so much more now that I realized that its ok to ride for ME, even if its only for 1/2 hour.

So definitely listen to your body and do what makes you happy. If you are feeling up to a 25 miler MORE POWER TO YOU!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery,

    Tam
