Question on crewing for Tevis

 Okay,
I know I am new to this sport, but I believe I will be able to do at
least the light crewing for someone at Tevis. I am volunteering at all
rides I can get to, and helping to crew for a couple of people.
My question is, if I volunteer to crew for someone, should I expect to
pay for the trip? If not all, what parts? This may seem like a dumb
question, but I don't know how some of you "Pros" do it. :0) I am sure
others have the same question and it will determine how far I can go to
rides, and whether I can crew some of the "BIG" rides, etc.
 Thank you list!
