Nobody's mentioned Katherine Kelly Lang who plays Brooke Logan on The Bold and The Beautiful. She rides under the name of Kelly Lang-D'Andrea (her married name). She's been riding since 1990 and has 2070 AERC miles to her credit, mostly top 10 placings. On one of her fan sites I found: "She was invited by the Sheik of Qatar to compete in an international cross country endurance race (across the Arabian Desert). She accepted the opportunity and placed third overall." I tried to do some research on this but came up blanks. all the links to the country of Qatar were scratched from the web after 911. Haven't tried in recent months.

Wasn't it Clint Ritchie?  He earned his Tevis buckle in 1978.

I remember when this guy whoever he is (never met him)came to the OD and he was a big shot amongst the Ladies as he was a Soap Star and had done Tevis and came to do the OD.  I remember him sitting on the swing at Shenandoah River Outfitters about 30 miles into it.  Don't know why he was sittting there but he didn't go any further and never came back to try again. tom sites
