    Re: [RC] beaches - superpat

Oh my.....Oregon has some of the most beautiful coast line you will find anywhere. There are horse camps right on the coast for pennies per night....well....maybe a few bucks for improved campsites with corrals and toilets and showers.
California also has some great beaches to ride on. As far as horses swimming int he ocean, you can, but I stopped that practice once my mare got vertigo and just keeled over dunking me in the surf. I play at the water's edge and run along where the waves break over the horse's hooves but leave the swimming to others. I figure that if they don't really enjoy it, it's not that important to me.

I was wondering ,is there any place in the U.S. where I can ride my horse along the beach and in the ocean? I know some places have laws against this ,example:Hawaii. Sue
