Manny did slip in them on really icy spots, but did ok in the snow.  I think I read that you can use the screw in studs with the boots for better traction.  I'm going to look into it.  I'll get back to you on that.  Jennifer.

    Hi Jennifer,

I have been using Old Macs all summer with good luck (I started out wrapping her pasterns and heel bulbs with vet wrap and then was able to discontinue having to do that). When you went for your ride, was there any snow on the ground? I ask
because the last time I put them on my mare was for a Hunter Pace and it had snowed lightly overnight. I am sure I read that the boots are good in the snow, but I found she slipped. Now, there was just a dusting of snow in patches and even the
grass was slippery in the shady spots where the frost was still frozen on it. I haven't put them on her since, but we haven't really had a storm where the snow was deep enough that I could try them again.

Thanks for any information you might pass along.
