So it is a very good idea to learn the places to take the pulse and to get a stethoscope and play around with it until you learn how to use it if you want. While it might be nice to have an expensive stethoscope for a horse a 10 dollar verson works fine.

Well, as soon as someone makes a stethoscope that will work with my CI, I'd be happy to use them. Until that time, I'm very thankful they have HRMs.
