    It's a great little gizmo ... it's actually half of a snaffle bit with an
    attachment on the end that you can fit through a tie ring on a tie rack,
    cross tie, trailer and run a screw threw it. Picture the circle of the
    snaffle with half of the bit part swung up as a cross on the circle. You run
    a loop your rope through the circle and put the cross inside the loop. The
    circle stops the cross because the cross is longer than the loop. Depending
    on what kind of rope you use, it will pull through the cross piece easier or
    harder. You can take it with you anywhere just by unscrewing it from
    whatever you have it hanging from. Wouldn't be without it for that
    particular horse mentioned earlier.
