[RC] electric corral - Rides 2 Far

Ditto! My personal favorites are the people who put up stakes and tape
and DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY JUICE ON IT!!! At one ride this summer a horse
was leaning all over his tape. Several people commented to the girl that
the horse obviously had no respect for it and she'd better tie him up.
"Oh no, he's NEVER gotten out" was her reply. Well...lucky me, he got
out at about 2 AM and came right to my picket line....after he ate what
little alfalfa I'd brought for the vet check. I was very lucky he didn't
decided to kick the stew out of my horse since they were squealing and he
was twice Kaboot's size. I caught him in my bare feet and since there
was no doubt where he belonged returned him. Sad thing is, she was a
very nice person. She replace my hay with better hay. She was very sorry.
She meant no harm. What do you say to someone at a time like that? "I
told you so" is assumed. I just don't know how people can risk other
people & horse's lives so casually. I'm still taking care of Joe
Harris's horses after he was run over at Longstreet's Charge by horses
who escaped an electric corral. After a shoulder joint replacement he
will never be able to use that arm normally again. He didn't sue or give
his insurance company the info to allow them to sue for their loss (which
is usually who sues, not the injured person). Wonder if they're still
    using that corral?

P.S. My other pet peeve as a ride manager is the person who arrives early
and stakes out an acre and a half of pasture for their horse!
