The winning horse was a thoroughbred, this course was as flat and easy as a
race track, I don't think it stopped galloping the entire 30 miles! Also
best condition.

The weather was perfect - cool (but not horribly cold), cloudy, steady
breeze during the day. After the sun set, the clouds dissappeared, the
temperature went up 10 degrees, and a light breeze. It was pretty amazing.
The course was flat, good footing, lots of repeat loops (nobody
complained!)lots of open dirt road. It was bright enough to cast a shadow,
we put glowsticks out, but I don't think we even needed them. The horses
looked great. No metabolic problems. Mike Foss DVM and Sarah Metcalf DVM
were the vets. Lots of folks to help, everything went very well!
