    Very interesting discourse on cats.  We a spay that was part Persian, and
    100% house ornament, for many years at least.  In her mature years, she
    became a fabulous hunter.  I don't know why she waited so many years to
    become a hunter.  Now we have another spay who apparently did not learn from
    her mother, as she was separated from her mother for 9 days (she was lost)
    at a very early age.  She was found and returned to her mother, but she is
    still the most wary cat I've ever seen.  She's just never quite become
    completely civilized.  But I think she is hunting.  At least she lives in
    the raspberry patch during berry season, and the birds don't seem to be
    getting all the berries like they used to.
