Wow, thankful outcome. My daughter who rides eventers, hunters, says: if you jump, you learn you can change a horses direction in midair.(useful note I hope.)
I also remember John Lyons saying when horses first learn to cross water, it is common for them to jump small streams or puddles (it does look like a hole in the ground to them)(Rascal still drops his head and smells before crossing water and puddles or mud.)Laurie and Rascal the ground sniffer.
