[RC] trailering in cold with clipped horse? - Laurie Durgin

Just bodyclipped our horses for the winter. Are going to the ride this weekend in Al. Cold front coming in and it will be in the 30's to low 40's  when we will be trailering. Never put anything on horses before cause I know how the heat builds up. But, they are bodyclipped and will be riding in an enclosed trailer with windows  on both sides, 3 roof vents, rear windows. Should I put a  cotton sheet, light blanket or nothing? Or just open windows halfway?  I also plan to lightly blanket them till it gets above 45 or 50.. I have rump rugs we can use too. But our ride isn't till 10:00, so should be warmer  by then.
Thanks  Laurie andRascal (the clipped, who ran around like a wild stallion after his hair came off )
