[RC] Vote Yes for more horse camps! - saungier

I have to join Betty in asking everyone from Virginia to please VOTE  next week to support this Bond package.  I can add to her post (just to make you out of state folks jealous) the details of the package that specifically relate to us.  Most of these horse camps will be phased in - starting off as primitive, then eventually having covered stalls and full trailer hookups.

Along with $2 million in trail development and improvements there will be $4.45 million allocated for seven new horse camping areas, horse facilities and an equestrian center at one of the parks.  These camps and barns will not only serve the trail riders, they will serve as safe layover places for individuals passing through Virginia with their horses.  The funding projections are as follows:  Douthat State Park ($700,000), Fairy Stone State Park ($300,000), James River State Park ($500,000), Occoneechee State Park ($600,000), Pocahontas State Park ($1.5 million for camp and equestrian center), Staunton River State Park ($750,000), and Staunton River Battlefield State Park ($100,000).
