Ridecamp: [RC] Fort Valley Ride

Just got back from the Fort Valley 50, it was a beautiful ride.  I did this ride in April and hated it, it was my first 50 on a horse I had only been riding for less than a year.  I was dreading going down Indian Graves, YIPPEE! They changed the direction and we actually went up Indian Graves.  The ride managers and Valerie Kanavy did a great job of clearing this trail, they moved rocks so large you could have eaten off them...it worked out to be a much better trail than in April.  Had a great time, the weather was great.  The scenery was beautiful from what I could see on the fly, I actually didn't see the beautiful color until I finished the ride on Sat and could sit back and view the gorgeous tree foliage on the mountains.  This was my 4th. ride on my wonderful gelding (who didn't get started under saddle until he was 9, he is now 11), I just love him.  I also used my Sport Saddle for this ride and his back 
was in perfect shape.  The other 3 rides he was sore.
