     And if this issue came to a vote, only parents should be allowed to vote on it. As those without children have no basis other than emotion to be qualified to vote.
    *I disagree.  Anyone who is a member is impacted by 3 year old children on the trail in competition.  If you are racing for
    top ten, you are very likely to pass them on a second loop, etc.  Also, there are many professionals that are far more qualified to vote on this matter than a lot of parents.  Shall we remember the 7 year old girl who (had a dream to fly across the country), that crashed and died?  Yes, that was her "dream" to do that.  I am not arguing that she be denied her dream (she was most likely an exceptional child), but what she attemped to do was NOT appropriate for her AGE!  I also feel there is TOO MUCH emphasis made in this society at setting records.
