[RC] Jean Wanzor (?SP) - Lisa M Pardus

Hi Jean! I was at the ride. I didn't realize that was you sitting under
the tent there. I had the black dog at the rider's meeting. :0) We did
VERY well at the ride! Did the ten in a SLOW 2 1/2 hours. I hadn't ridden
much that month and didn't want to overdo my girl. As it was, we came
RIGHT off the ride, into the P & R and our lowest mark was A- for back,
    and gut sounds.
As I said, we came in right off the trail, so I felt we did GREAT! We
will be riding the FOF in two weeks. We are out on the trails three or
four days a week now. She is doing fives in a slow hour and wanting MORE!
We will up the mileage and speed this week and see how we do. I am going
out for a LONG ride on Monday just to see where she is, and one more long
one next Monday. My neighbor rides with me some. She has done a few CTRs
in Jersey, so she knows what to look for. She asks me questions after our
rides, and I do know how to take a pulse (although I have trouble with
Maleka and FINDING hers sometimes!) :0)
Anyway, I would like to thank Kelley-Jo for putting on a REAL nice ride!
Weather was beautiful, and despite the air boats roaring around at 2 am.
(I didn't sleep but two hours that night anyway!) it was a pleasant night
in the woods as well! The trails COULD NOT have been marked better! IF
ANYONE got lost, it was their OWN fault! :0)
If we are available, we will do that ride again NEXT year, and hopefully
in 25s or even 50s! (Hey I can dream!) :0) We really are going to take it
slow and I will NOT push my girl. I haven't yet, and I am NOT about to!
I am also training my dog for SAR, so my life is REAL busy right now! If
anyone gets lost on the trails, just give us a shout! We will find you!
LOL :0) I am hoping the SAR will not interfere to much with my endurance
    training. So far so good!
     See you all at FOF!
Oh yeah! Howard, have you posted about your new horse and the ride?
Patti was asking about it! Details, man! Details!!!!
