[RC] Electrolyte methods - Lysane Cree

    Hi all,

O.k. I am going to my first CTR tomorrow and I am looking for some last minute tips (I know I should have asked sooner!!!) on electrolyting. I have not been using them for that long so I still have little dilemmas with the syringe - what steps do you all use? I mean, I have been dumping the e-lytes into the syringe and adding water on top and shaking it up but there always seems to be some e-lytes stuck in the syringe after I have given it to the horse. So I suck up a little water into the syringe again, swish it around and squirt the rest into the horse's mouth. Seems like I have seen other people do it much quicker and easier....Any suggestions? Also, tomorrow is probably not going to be a very hot day (we are in Quebec, Canada and the ride is in Ontario about two hours from here), the horses probably won't need a lot of e-lytes right? I use Perform n' Win. I have them some tonight and will again in the morning, but I am wondering about during the day...

    Lysane
