[RC] saddle and WNV - alice fraas

I am a lurker as I am not an endurance rider--yet, but am learning from your training experiences.
I had a BM Basic trail saddle which was completely suede and 15" seat. I felt I was too tightly held , decided I wanted one with no horn and was 15.5" and smoother leather. I sold it on www.sportsaddle.com and now have a schooling/training "endurance" leather, 15.5" seat and no horn saddle I use it on a rather long backed MFT and a very round barreled TWH with comfort for all of us. My daughter who plans to begin endurance riding next year with mustangs has an endurace BM saddle with extra d rings (wish I had thought of that). It fits her Lippizon, QH, and mustangs.
South Dakota has had the worst drought since the 30's, I've only seen 3 mosquitoes since spring and we have the 2nd hightest number of WNV cases in the country. Our vet is seeing 3+ cases a day in the last 3-4 weeks with some deaths resulting. 12 human cases, no deaths. No cases in horses vaccinated. I'd prefer not risk losing my horses or having to have the IVs, and other aggressive measures he is using on this disease.
    Alice
