Ridecamp: RE: [RC] [DR] Nominations for AERC Director at Large

An interesting note concerning the incumbent Directors at
Large. One has been on the Board for 20 years and three
others for 10 years. Peter Drucker in analyzing the position
of being a Director of a Corporation noted that if you could
not get your concepts developed within five years of Board
membership then you were not an effective Director.

Perhaps it is time for a fair number of new Directors.

If you are interested in serving on the BoD of the AERC -
the
Directors-at-Large election is this November.  These
positions
are elected by members in all regions.  The regional
directors
will be elected next year.

There are 8 positions open and the term is 2 years.  The
positions
are presently held by

Jim Baldwin, DVM
Dane Frazier, DVM
Becky Hart
Michael Maul
Barney Fleming, DVM
Robert Ribley
C. Mike Tomlinson
Maggy Price

If you would like to serve in this position - the nomination
period ends 10/01/02 with your nomination statement and
payment
of $5 received in the AERC office by that date.

So far - Dane Frazier, Jim Baldwin, and Mike Maul have
nominated.
Becky Hart says she will not be running.

Here's an opportunity to do more than gripe on the lists
about how
the BoD handles issues.
