I'm 5'9" and weigh about 165 and ride a very delicate looking 14.2 mare. She
is strong as steel, and has never had a problem, even when I was pregnant.
If you are a balanced partner it shouldn't be an issue. She is a 10 year old
Arabian, but was not started until her 6th year.
