Tell the guy you truly appreciate his efforts, and would LIKE him to take 
down ALL the ribbons for you Saturday night, and that he can come get a 
dinner at the awards ceremony as payment.  Sometimes making a person part 
of the situation can help prevent them from being a problem for the situation.
