    Hi Becky,
Glad to hear you are feeling better, I really was worried about you!  Ken taught me a good trick yesterday when we were dying from the heat and unloading everything from the ride.  When you start to feel overheated put cold water bottles or ice packs under your armpits.  It really works!  I know , the problem is that if you had cold bottles or ice you would have drank the stuff and wouldn't be feeling so bad in the first place :0)

Fred Beason, the head vet at Norco, talked at ride meeting how important it is for riders to take of themselves as well as the horses.  I think we all forget about that.  Karen Sweaney told me her nutritionist recommended using pedilyte in her water.  That has worked well for me in hot weather.  I mix 1/2 pedilyte with 1/2 lemon flavored crystal light water.  It tastes good even after it gets a little warm and doesn't upset my stomach like gatorade.  That Propel tastes pretty good too doesn't it?

      Congratulations on surviving Norco!
    Julie H.
