[RC] large heart thoroughbreds in endurance? - Ridecamp Guest

Anyone want to speculate on how x-factor (large heart) would affect the recovery times on a
    thoroughbred in endurance?

Have a project horse in my back yard now who I'm eyeing as an endurance prospect; he's an off the track
thoroughbred with a really really nice disposition and a seven-league-boots type stride, and greyhoundy
in build. He's apparently a large heart horse. If I do keep him for riding, it'd be for lower levels -- this
owner's not sound enough for anything more than that. *Grin*

Not sure yet if I want to keep him for me, or sell him -- it will probably depend on what he thinks of trail riding alone.

I was just curious if anyone's ever researched this, or has any anectodal experience.
