[RC] sheath cleaning and mares - Debby Stai

I love cleaning my geldings sheaths and they love it too!  Took some getting use to, its not any different than cleaning a baby really, they can't do it so we do it for them.  Some are worse than others, my husbands QH hardly needs it done, the mini we have gets very nasty.  Some suck so far in, I have to go looking for it plum up to my elbows.  But they learn to like it with the warm water.  As far as mares, I have a mare I have to clean her udder at least every other week in the summer, they get the same smegma, just easier to clean and she loves it too.  I've noticed mine will even tell me when they need a cleaning, sometimes scratching their butts doesn't mean their tails itch, it can be a sign they need their sheaths/udder cleaned.  Debby
