[RC] Hives in Southeastern US - Ridecamp Guest

    Susan Pyne pynevalley@xxxxxxx
My horses recently developed severe hives, swelling and fever after a ride in the George Washington Nat'l Forest in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. A friend of mine said she read a long string on ridecamp about this occuring up and down the Southeastern region. I am unable to find these posts in the archives. Would anyone who knows anything about the cause of these hives and how to avoid a recurrance, please advise? I tried a search in the archives but maybe did not go about it correctly. Any help there would be appreciated too. Thanks!
