RE: [RC] Tennis shoes no boots?? - Mike Sofen

I forgot to mention one very important thing about using running shoes (and for me, all shoes):  I use the footbed inserts called "SuperFeet".  They are structural insoles that provide enhanced support and shape for the bottom of the foot.  They cost about $25 a pair and last forever, so I just keep moving them from shoe to shoe.  You'll typically find these at outdoor equip suppliers like REI, rather than shoe stores.

Now you would think that these high tech running shoes would all come with top of the line insoles, and they do come with good ones, but the combination of a good shoe with the SuperFeet has made my foot comfort level skyrocket, eliminating cramps and fatigue.  I'll always try the factory insole first, then put in the SuperFeet, and the difference is remarkable.  They come big and you trim them with scissors to fit.  Best product on the market, IMO.
