[RC] Tennis shoes no boots?? - Ridecamp Guest

    Okay..
Please no more helmet stories! If ya wear one great! If not well thats your choice.
Lets talk about the kind of shoes you wear? I was brought up that you don't ever get on a horse without wearing proper boots, ie. something with a heel. Have you ever seen a person
dragged from slipping through a big ole endurance stirrup? Not a
pretty site. Everyone seems to ride in a tennis type shoe, I know they are more comfortable and your off running, etc. But isn't this really a dangerous thing to do? Is there a type of
shoe/boot that's better then the other. I were Ariats (not a plug for them I just really like the boots!)They seem to hold up and they have a heal that shouldn't slip through a stirrup. We make our Jr. Riders wear helmets, how come they can were tennis shoes? Just curious that's all. Not trying to start mud slinging or anything. Man... now I am afraid to post, me being a guest and all.
