  That one sounds like an easy modification.(?)You need to get something onto the extra space created by your narrower leathers.(It sounds like you also now have the desirable option of alternate fore&aft stirrup leather positions to try.)I would go to the local hardware store and browse diligently.Here's one idea-just an idea,mind you:If you used a  short scrap of very small plastic tubing of some sort,you could cut it lengthwise down one side,and force it over the hanger?...
