[RC] helmet visors - Teresa Van Hove

While we're on the topic of helmets - I need to get a new visor for my
new helmet. The old one is so beat up I don't want to transfer it. I
have a 5" cashel, had to add velcro to helmet and visor to make it
stick, but once I did that its worked well - I've worn it thru some
pretty good winds and sticking thru real (30+mph) wind gusts is
necessary feature for any visor I buy. I also sunburn easily (typical
redhead) so I like the extra length of the cashel.

Negatives on the cashel - 1. I have to modify it, cant just buy it and
put it on. 2. The neoprene bends up and doesn't hold its original shape
well. 3. Its a bit pricey, especially for something I have to finish
myself before I can use it.

So, what visors have worked well for others (unless you think an 8mph
breeze is windy, or ride always in shady trees and don't need much
    additional sun protection)

    Cheers,
Teresa (in Colorado -lots of sun, & plenty of wind)

p.s. I find the lidlocker helmets comfortable to wear. I cant bear
anything tight on my head, so the fitting strap is a blessing for me.
Any of the new brands have a similar feature that allows decent fit w/o
    snugness?
