    Actually, this sounds like a 'bomber', they even make the bomber noise and
    no fly spray will stop them.
    
    Here's what I did, get a few pet chickens and whack the bombers with your
    hand, your horse will quickly learn you are death on bombers and race for
    you when they get one on.  Once the bombers are on the horse, usually around
    the back, just whack them and toss to the chickens.
    
    My husband and I get a real kick out off having a couple of drinks and
    whacking bombers and feeding them to Gertrude, the smartest chicken, she
    loves bombers and follows us around waiting for them.
