    When I got into Icelandic horses I spent more time on the ground then in the 
    saddle! My little Icelandic saddle was slippery! I had always ridden western 
    or western endurance type saddles. Now I only ride "English" and yes it was 
    hard for me at first, but has made me a much better rider.
