I ride the trails in an english saddle,  at first it took a little getting used to, but I prefer it now.  My question to all you ridecampers is,  do you really think you have to be a heck of a rider to ride english?  I don't.  I'm a crappy rider and I don't think it's any harder than riding western.   However, my friend and neighbor who rides cutting horses and sticks like velcro rode on my saddle once for about 5 minutes and had to get off because she was so scared.  Opinions?
