[RC] DMSO and abcess - NO! - Magnumsmom

Dot, you and your vets are right on.

DMSO "moves" through the system. It will "take stuff along with it".
This is how it works so well to dispurse inflamation and bruising.
NEVER use it on an infection or abcess. It could take the infection
and spread it to other tissues.

You also want to be very carefull about never using DMSO over flyspray
(it will take anything on the skin internal), dirt, meds, or anything else
that need to stay on the surface of the skin.

Very very good point. I changed your subject line of the message just
    incase it was misleading.
