Thank you!  It makes so much sense it's like "why didn't I think of that!"
I realized at the time it was happening HE thought he was herd boss and I
thought I was.  Well that's what I get fer thinkin'!  I spent so many years
with a push button mare (after some rank ones), I've forgotten "train every
time your out".  Now that I'm raising this one to replace her, I'm
realizing a push button horse has really decreased my  horsemanship skills
after 12 years.  "oh look at the sweet baby, scratch, rub, ain't he cute,
look!  he's pulling on my shirt with his teeth, he's so sweet, ooohhh and
look, he's untying himself while I clean his feet, you're so funny, silly
boy, pat pat"  You get my drift.  My mare rarely needed correction and
would never take advantage of my space.  Remington's behaved so well with
all the doctoring that I've put him thru, complication with castration,
wound with bone chip (trailer), broken tail (x another horse), rounds of
antibiotics, show him a syringe from 10 feet away and you can almost hear
him groan.  But none of that submission while I caused him pain made me the
boss and the next thing I know I've got the DEVIL comin' at me!

This baby is always something, I know I'm investing my time for something
wonderful, but it sure makes me feel like I'm making a lot of mistakes.
Maybe I just need another push button horse, yours sound really nice, do
you take trade-ins? (jk)   :-)
Well, I'll take your advice starting tonight, not long after Remington
finishes his dinner!  Thank you again.
