Glad you enjoyed the Mosby's Rangers website; it was searching for info.
on the "flying emergency dismount" (don't try this at home!) that led me
to it.
As a kid, I was so horse crazy, that a friend & I would climb up on any
available horse we saw in a pasture, and there were lots in the St.
Lawrence River farm country where I grew up. Many a wild ride resulted,
and of course, I bounced much better then than I do now. Later on I got
some formal instruction and came to my senses. But at that time,
ignorance was bliss!
