[RC] sore backs - Cindi Hein

Any ideas on this one.... My horse has never had a sore back - he's always so solid. I myself have never had a sore back from riding. I took him out for a training trotting ride. Just kind of took it slow and easy.
Towards the middle of the ride, he kept looking over his shoulder as if something was bothering him.
After our ride, I went to brush him and noticed his lower back is very sore. And my lower back is sore also!
I must have ridden differently or strange and strange enough for it to effect him as well.
    Any ideas?
    Cindi
