    [RC] Wolverine - Larry Miller

Your welcome Maggie. As for the horse. It was taken to MI State in
Lansing. Pedro had a ruptured intestine. This was probably due to poor
health care in the beginning of his life. When the owners bought this
horse, he was brought back from a bowed tendon, lousy feet, skinny as a
rail. He became a happy boy, well fed, very well cared for health wise,
feet wise, and everything else. He loved his kid, played with her, and
always gave her a good ride. His prognosis was poor so he was humanely put
down. I figure he is in animal heaven, planning trail rides, and giving kid
clinics. No one did anything wrong. The owners, the RMs, the vets.
Everything was done for the horse. No one could look inside his stomach and
see what was going on. The bottom line is this, 'shit happens when one owns
horses'. It just makes one realize how fragile horses really are. It could
happen to any of us and more in likely has. Jeanie
