Hold the phone here ... you must realize that there are a few of us here who
are using this board to ask questions because we are new to the sport. I
wasn't trying to start anything. Here's what I wrote back to Bob Morris.
Maybe it will explain why I was asking a little more?

"I just have always used them with my horse since once of my horses was 35
and another 26, the rest just got it, too. Never thought about the fact that
I might have to discontinue it for a younger one ... It wasn't a question
about using it FOR competition, just never thought about NOT using them at
all until she brought it up. I haven't even gone to my first ride yet LOL!

Actually, that makes me think of something else ... I take a compound
similar to this for myself on a daily basis. If I started running
competitively, would they make me stop taking it? I never thought of it. I
just thought since I can afford it and it "might" make my horse feel better
and joints last longer, why not give it? I know it most certainly helped the
quality of life of my old guys ...

And again, I was just asking, since I dunno ...."

Sorry to have made steam rise again. This board seems to like steam...
