That is odd....he told the Cup Committee that it was his helmet and reins and he had to find them. What about last year, the year before that and on and on. He does this every year.
Potato is Potato and some mistake his eccentric behavior for poor sportsmanship. I heard him coming through and he was not being rude, just simply announcing that he was coming through.
In the 30 odd years I have witnessed his behaviour, he has been rude and obnoxious and tried to pass it off as eccentric.
Potato deserved what he got and more. What about announcing at the banquet to everyone that 5th place is "fourth loser". That is not eccentric, it is demeaning to the finishers who were so proud to be there and then find out they are considered losers by the all mighty Potato.
