Re: [RC] coolmax tights - Laurie Durgin

Do the seams rub? I thought of making coolmax tights and wondered how thy would work. I can get the fabric for about 8.00 . I bought some coolmax shirts from Gaylans and Sports Authority on clearance. Were 45.00$ but by checking everytime I go back there I got them for 15.00$The difference from cotton is incredible, feels like my own AC. Target has some too. I find them in the "tennis" or active sportswear  departments. Those of you who haven't tried them, but live in hot humid summers don't know what you are missing. There are some on ebay too. My breeches still bake me, so I'd thought of making tights. And if anyone has other ideas for knee or whole leg patches besides leather (which I use now) let me know.I'd like to find "clarino" patches, buthaven't yet. Something that will wash.  Laurie andf Rascal
Ride at 7;00 with 85%humidity and 76 or ride later at 90's and 50-65%humidity. hhhmmmm

Look for the Kathy Ireland Coolmax tights at K Mart.  They are well made, smooth and soft, and often on sale for $10!
I used them for both running and riding.  A very nice product.

I got some Coolmax tights at Wal Mart a few months ago.  They were called "yoga pants" and cost $10 each!  They're light weight and nice and stretchy.  They were flared and very long, but easy to take in on the sewing machine.  I also got a couple sleeveless coolmax shirts, too.  I'm always keeping my eyes open for cheap lycra tights, but I was really surprised to find Coolmax at Walmart!
