[RC] Pull codes and bats - beth glover

Well I was wondering all day, what the code "DNS" means? Did not show? (Is he lost in the forest? Or changed his mind and went home?)  The possibilities for a huge number of codes is mindboggling.

Sick, RGS (Rider got sick) , HGS (horse got sick),  CGS, (Crew got sick), CCRV (Crew crashed Recreational vehicle...shiver) RV (rider vomited),  RHTHLMP (Rider had to have lemon meringue pie) hee hee

It was just interesting to read, in a major newspaper, on the day of the Tevis, that they had found the bats at Foresthill. What a coincidence. Its too bad also. We have bats in our yard and when we check the horses at dusk, we like to stand and watch them swoop and swirl around. Go bats go! Don't need a bug zapper 'cause of them.  Between those and the mosquito fish in the pond, we have a good mosquito defense.    Its also a lot of fun...to go to Carlsbad Caverns and watch the bats emerge in the evening. Millions of them. If ever in New Mexico..check that out!

    Beth
