    They make rubber cup shaped ones for all sorts of uses. Most common are
    spooky race horses and SASS shooters. (Single Action Shooters Society) I
    like Tampons cause they deaden the sound better and they're cheaper.
    Regular size works OK. I'll fluff them up a little and tie a loop in the
    string then I'll take another piece of string and tie it to the browband
    on the headstall. Works well with calibers from .22 all the way up to 7
    mm Mag. Although I still won't fire a round with the muzzle pointing
    towards the horses head. It's always off the side or towards the back
    end.
