Re: [RC] Tacky tack - heidi sowards

I just checked me latest Jeffers catalog and the western
pad 1/4 inch thick is $15.95, the 3/4" is $39.95. English
1/4" is also $15.95 (underpad) and the 3/4" is $36.50.
English is white only. On the same page as the western
ones, there is also a product called Stabile-Ride non stick
underpad. It is appx. 1/4" thick, comes in tan or black and
is $15.95, it's size is 36" x 60" and can be cut to fit for
any saddle. It's pretty similar to the tacky tack stuff.
Nice thing about this stuff (I bought some) I cut a piece
to use between the saddle and pad, keeps the wool pad on
the horse and keeps the pad from slipping out from under
the saddle. I also can cut small pieces to line a hackamore
or noseband that might rub, or any other rub issues. My
neoprene crupper has a buckle that was starting a small rub
on Ash and I cut a piece, sewed it up with a piece of
baling twine (it has a waffle texture with holes, so I just
poked the twine through) and voila, fixed and no more
rubbing! It's cheap and great stuff!

Yes, it is a pad that can be used alone under your
    saddle.&nbsp; Comes in
a few solid colors.&nbsp; Has small air pockets for
    cooling, but material
is such that it can just be hosed off and saddles do NOT
    slip. I bought
mine from The Red Barn, 940-433-2477.&nbsp; Perhaps they
    could tell you
where the manufacturer is or tell you how you could get
    one.<br>
