    [RC] Ponying - Ridecamp Guest

    Amanda Perez walkergirl@xxxxxxxxxx
The recent sad mountain lion story (riders' horses spooked by a mtn lion while ponying a horse, got dragged off her saddle when ponied horse ran in from of her) leads me to ask: what is the safest way to pony a horse? Should there be some mechansim to allow for the line to break under extreme pressure? How long should the line be? Other safety tips? Also, how can you pony with an english saddle (no horn)?

Just a hypothetical question for me, as (so far) I only have one beasty.
