Check your OF panels and make sure they both flex evenly. I had an OF that had a frozen panel that put a lot of pressure on one side of the horse. I fooled around with the screws they have in the panel to try to get it to flex more, but it never was really fixed. I took the saddle to a clinic where they were demonstrating the saddle pad that was hooked up to a monitor and it would show the hot spots or tight spots of the saddle on the horse. It showed my OF was putting a lot of pressure on the one panel and was causing problems.

I also had white hairs growing in all along the panels of my Synergist. I sent the saddle back several times and it was adjusted. Still had white hairs until I changed pads. I was using a nice cotton pad with a good thin gel pad. I guess it built up too much heat and caused the white hairs. When I changed to a Supracor pad the problem went away and there are no more white hairs. I discovered the Dixie Midnight pad after I bought the Supracor pad. The Dixie Midnight pad may have allowed more air circulation under my gel pad and could have solved the problem also.
