    [RC] Liquid ivermectin wormer - Tamara Woodcock

    Sometime this last spring there was a discussion about using liquid ivermectin wormer. I did this with my last de-worming (1st of June). Paid $95 for 200ml bottle at the feed store (no tax and no shipping charges <g>), and for my herd this bottle will last almost 4 wormings per horse. I was wondereing about how long between times? Since the liquid wormer is 1%, vs. the 1.87% of the horse paste, should I worm more often? I usually go 6 weeks, but I was thinking of trying it at 4 weeks. Would there be any problem with this?

    I can't believe how much easier and cheaper the liquid was vs. the paste. My old mare usually has to be twitched for paste worming, and she didn't even flinch at the liquid squirted into the back of her mouth. And is was so much cheaper at only $3-5 per head, depending on size. Not to mention cheaper on my time.
