AMEN! I want to reiterate that I am new to this sport - only 2 rides and 100
miles under me, but this is, to me, the essence of it all. I intent to ride
my own ride, paying close attention to my mount, and finish as well as we can
    - whenever that is. I believe that simple approach will someday land us in
the top ten and, more importantly, in that rarefied BC class! The best way
to get there safely, IMHO, is to just ride your best ride. I do "compete."
But not against a clock or another rider. Solitaire and I are in a
competition to perform at our very highest level. Maybe some day, that'll
get us a BC. In the meantime, we win every ride we finish, and I'll be damn
    proud of my "girlfriend" :o)

Scott (waiting to see how I get pounced on for something in that statement!)
Solitaire (What's BC mean? Oh! Bran and carrots???? Yum!)
