No, Scott, I don't think it is "obvious" that people are thin-skinned or
have guilt complexes.  What is "obvious" here is that you have pointed a
rather derogatory finger at a rather large group of people (those who load
up and leave after rides) and have accused them of not caring about their
horses, when in fact, only a tiny percentage of the people who do that are
deserving of your ire.  Yes, they are "out there."  But they are such a tiny
percentage of the whole that most of us know them by name (the ones that
ride where we ride), and we understand that it is a problem of occasional
uncaring, unfeeling, or ignornant individuals, not a problem of leaving
rides early.
